Cindy & Andrew’s Fall Hill Country Wedding at Pecan Springs Ranch

The Details

Cindy’s lace gown had long sleeves and a cathedral train, and she finished the look with white cowboy boots on top of white socks embroidered with “BRIDE” in gold lettering. It’s the kind of detail that’s quietly, perfectly Texas. Her bridesmaids wore floor-length terracotta gowns in a mix of necklines. The groomsmen answered in navy suits with rust orange ties. The whole wedding party looked like the Hill Country dressed them itself, with a nod to the Texas Longhorns as the cherry on top.

Florals by Kismet Flowers in Dripping Springs stayed in that same warm register: peach, ivory, and terracotta blooms in the bridal bouquet, with an arrangement style that leaned toward the naturalistic rather than the arranged. Corynn at Kismet has a knack for working with what the season offers, and fall gave her a lot to work with for this wedding.

The Ceremony

Cindy and Andrew said their vows outdoors, under the sprawling live oaks that anchor Pecan Springs Ranch’s ceremony grounds. Instead of a traditional arch or floral structure, white fabric was draped directly from the tree branches overhead, and it was beautiful. No frame or hardware needed, just the trees holding everything up.

To complete the look, string lights ran through the canopy above the wedding party. It catched the afternoon light in a way that only works in late fall when the sun sits low.

It’s the kind of ceremony setup that photographs well because everything looks ethereal at that time of day. The trees at Pecan Springs Ranch have been there long enough that they don’t need decoration. The fabric and the light just helped draw eyes to what was already there.

The Reception

Once the ceremony wrapped, guests moved inside to Pecan Springs Ranch’s 6,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled building. It’s a very versatile space that shifts easily from cocktail hour to full reception without feeling like a different venue. The glass back wall opens onto the terrace, so the Hill Country stays in the frame even when the party moves indoors.

The Premier Austin DJs kept the dance floor running through the night. A good DJ at a ranch wedding has to read two rooms at once: the guests who came for the atmosphere and want to linger, and the ones who came to dance. Premier handled both perfectly.
