Our story at Pecan Springs Ranch started with purchasing this property as a family and continues into the present with serving couples, non-profits, and companies with their big events.

Located just 10 miles away from downtown Austin, our venue has a large variety of pecan trees! We are passionate about not only caring for the land and all its flora, but keeping the space in pristine condition to let your event really shine.

A Versatile Space with An Abundance of Natural Beauty

Surrounded by stunning pecan and oak trees and rooted on 17 acres, our venue features a creek, fresh springs, and a pond. Many guests are surprised when they arrive at our venue - it’s like a hidden gem they had no idea was so close to downtown Austin!

We’re prepared for both indoor and outdoor events! Our 6,000 sq feet climate-controlled building includes a prep kitchen, a getting ready area, and a glass back wall that opens up onto a 2000 sf terrace, bringing the outside “in”. 

We offer a separate getting ready house as well as numerous beautiful ceremony sites. There are two separate getting ready areas to be used for each side of your party. 

Have a large event you’re hosting? Our space can easily accommodate 300 guests inside with a dance floor indoors. We can easily fit 350 guests when using our connected covered patio that’s adjacent to our indoor space. The covered patio can seat 50-75 people. 

We do have several bad weather plans we can suggest, which are absolutely necessary when you’re planning a Texas wedding!

Live-in donkeys

Sassy and Opie - our “drink” donkeys - live here and are available to rent for your wedding! They’re named as the “drink” donkeys, because they’re known to carry drinks in their baskets while they mingle with guests for photo opportunities. Your guests will love them! We ask our guests to feel free to love on Sassy and Opie with pictures and pets, but please don’t ride them!

We love when couples choose food trucks—they’re such a fun and unique way to serve your guests! Our team is experienced in working with them to make setup and service a breeze. We also encourage our couples to bring on a trusted coordinator to help with planning and make sure everything flows beautifully on the big day.

When the unavoidable rainy day wedding happens, we’ve got you covered.

Our 6,000 sq foot space provides ample room for rain and cold weather back-up plans. 

Our historic log cabin is home to our LOVE sign and is a unique area for a photo booth!

We have worked hard to keep the property as natural as possible, using materials found right here on the land. Even the original fireplace from the 1800’s has been reconstructed with rock found on the property as one of the ceremony spots. We have also taken steps to preserve the 1800’s-era log cabin. We used reclaimed pine from the Bastrop fires as the exposed trusses in the main building, which makes it very special to us and our visitors.

Our grounds are green all year round and wildflowers bloom in the spring. 

There is a pond stocked with fish and a beautiful creek runs around the property also. Best of all we are located 10 minutes from downtown Austin! 

Native plants have been used in all of the landscaping to preserve the local flora, and we are doctoring a beautiful old oak tree to ensure it has a continuous long life.

The planning and walkthrough

Your planning point of contact will set up site visits, and we’ll take calls and emails to answer any questions along the way. 30 days before the wedding your point of contact will set up a time to do a walk through. You can bring your coordinator and any other vendors who need to be there.

We recommend that you select one of the full-service caterers off of our Preferred Vendors list. You may also choose to bring in the caterer/restaurant/food truck/food provider of your choice, as long as PSR has approved them and received their insurance, (there are some restrictions on the catering companies not on our list)

We do require one bartender per 100 guests. They must be TABC certified and have basic liability insurance of one million dollars. We do require that you hire bartenders from your full service caterer or one of the Event Staffing Companies off of our Preferred Vendors list, as they all meet our requirements.

Yes, you can bring in your own alcohol, we do not sell alcohol, which adds up to significant savings for our clients. 

No, as long as they are approved by the venue and all vendors are not allowed to drink alcohol.

Yes, we have multiple HVAC to ensure that our guests are comfortable.

Yes! We're proud to be an LGBTQ friendly wedding venue in Texas and are supportive of all individuals who would like to host an event here!

Our venue was designed to be flexible enough to host a Texas-sized wedding and reception, but can also scale down for smaller more intimate-sized parties of 50-75. Our indoor facility can accommodate up to 300 guests with dance floor. With use of the outdoors and covered terrace attached to the main building, we can accommodate more guests. 

Yes, we have 5 outdoor ceremony locations. You are also welcomed to use the indoor space for your ceremony. We have a 4500 sq ft covered pavilion that is a perfect back up plan for rain. 

Our outdoor and indoor lighting was carefully selected and is completely adequate; however, if you are interested in additional lighting you must do so through a lighting professional from our preferred vendor list or obtain permission from PSR Management to bring in another vendor.

Yes you can.

Yes, both must be contracted through Big Dog Pyro. In regard to fog machines the type has to be approved by PSR.

Yes, all outdoor music must end by 11:00 pm on Friday and Saturday night, 10:00 pm on Sun-Thur. The decibel level per state law is 85 decibels at property line. 

Included in the fee is exclusive use for 12-hour rental, an on-site manager to take care of all venue related items, one hour for rehearsal (scheduled 30 days prior to event around other booked events), 17 acres of versatile grounds, indoor/outdoor ceremony and reception space, 2 separate area for changing, catering prep area, walk in cooler (available during the rental), 3 pine wood farm tables, 4 beer garden tables at pavilion, twenty-five 60" round tables, five tall boy cocktail tables, four 6ft tables, four 8ft tables, 250 x back chairs for inside and 400 folding fruitwood chairs and outdoor patio furniture and a bride & groom chair. Vintage buffet, lawn games, and light up "LOVE" marquee letters. PSR does a one-time set up of ceremony and reception per your layout. Use of buildings and property for engagement or bridal photos (by appointment).     

The Pecan Springs Ranch on-site manager's role is to answer questions, watch the property, and act as point person for Pecan Springs Ranch for all other vendors. They will also keep restrooms clean and stocked during the event and take care of any venue related items immediately. 


Yes, it does. If you need additional time for set up, hair and makeup or extra time for vendor break down after the wedding you can purchase one-hour increments. 

You can bring in your own decor, but it can only be installed in a way that will not damage our facility—no staples, tacks, tape, glue guns, or nails can be used. Anything that requires hanging with a ladder, other than a stepladder must be done by a professional company, such as a florist or lighting company that has a liability policy.

Client is responsible for removing all personal items. The cater or staffing company will do end of night cleanup.

Due to our full events calendar, we cannot guarantee your rehearsal will be the evening before your wedding, but we will do our very best to accommodate that. If it is not possible, we will work with you on another time for rehearsal. Rehearsal times are set no sooner than 30 days prior to wedding.

In addition to the rental fee, we also require a $1000.00 refundable damage and security deposit for weddings, refunded within 30 days after your event. Day of event liability insurance is also required it is approximately $175.00. Corporate events are per the corporate contract.

We will need the signed contract along with half, one third or one fourth of the rental rate for the deposit and the $1000.00 refundable security deposit. 

It is common for our clients to ask for suggestions for wedding professionals. Please submit your information with a list of reviews and referrals. We would be happy to recommend your services if your company is a good fit for our clients.

For non-profit/fundraiser events we offer a discount depending on the date and size of the event, please contact us for information.
